Kolkata: A criminal case registered against cricketer Mohammed Shami After his wife lodge written complaint against her husband and relatives on Friday. That An First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against cricketer Shami and his four other family members in the Kolkata’s Jadavpur Police Station under several Indian Penal Code (IPC) including Section 498-A, which is equivalent to cruelty to any woman by her husband or his relatives, Other charges registered against Shami are under section 307-attempt to murder, section 323-punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, section 376-Rape, section 506-criminal threat, section 328 and section 34 IPC.
The Cricketer’s wife Hasin Jahan alleged that Shami abused her physically and mentally and she was also involved in many extra-marital affairs. However, Shami has rejected all charges and said that someone is misguiding his wife.
Speaking to the media earlier, Shami said, Hasin and her family are saying that we will solve all the issues, but I do not know who is misguiding her.
He said, “As far as the country is accused of compromising my performance while playing, I would rather die from doing something like this,” he said.
