Kota: In a Shocking Incident, Six youths raped a 40-year-old woman in Baran district of Rajasthan, who also filmed crime and uploaded a video on social media. The police said on Saturday.
The crime was committed a month ago but after getting information about the video uploaded on social media, the victim filed a report in the Women Police Station of Baran District. The Police have booked six people under section 376 IPC and various sections of the IT Act, but no one has been arrested yet so far. A woman working as a laborer in Dhaba on the roadside in Kota, filed a complaint against six youth on March 5, Police said.
The victim alleged in her complaint that about a month ago, when she arrived at Baran to come to the family of her in-laws, that one of the accused Chetan Meena 21-year-old, who was acquainted victim women, took her on her motorcycle on the pretext of dropping her to her destination, at Samaspura village. The five others accused joined Meena and they all took turns to rape the victim and also filing the crime on mobile.
The accused persons dropped her next day at her in-laws house and threatened to kill members of his family if she disclosed the matter to others. The Victim could collect the courage to register a complaint to the police, when she came to know that the video had been uploaded on the internet and was spreading throughout the area, further investigation is going on, Police said.
