Hyderabad: The IndiGo flight’s tyre bursts while landing at RGIA airport shamshabad in Hyderabad. There were 77 persons on board in the flight of Indigo from Tirupati, because tires were broken at the airport on Wednesday evening. All the 73 passengers, including a baby, were safely evacuated, the airline said.
The Airport sources said that some flights were diverted to the nearest airport because the plane was trapped on the runway, which forced the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Authority to suspend the operations.
The Indigo Flight 6E7117, operated by ATR (aircraft) from Tirupati to Hyderabad, suffered a tire burst while landing at Hyderabad Airport. The 72 passengers and one child and four crew members are safe, “Indigo said in a statement.
