Bengaluru: The Karnataka assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party is making headline for all the wrong reasons in the state. For the second time this week, BJP National President Amit Shah had caught another embarrassed charge due to MP Prahlad Joshi, who had translated his speech in the Challkere rally in Devnagiri district of Karnataka.
The Prahlad Joshi had corrected Amit Shah earlier this week, when he mistakenly said that BS Yeddyurappa Sarkar (BJP’s chief ministerial candidate) is “number one corrupt”. While he obviously wanted to say the Congress government of Siddaramaiah.
That, On Tuesday, Prahalad Joshi translated the BJP President’s speech from Hindi to Kannada during a rally on May 12, claiming that “Narendra Modi will not do anything for the poor and the dalit”.
Amit Shah had said in Hindi, “Siddaramaiah government cannot develop Karnataka, you believe in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and give his vote for Yeddyurappa, and we will turn Karnataka into number one state.”
The translation of Prahlad Joshi, unknowingly, “Narendra Modi will not do anything for the poor and the downtrodden people … In the center there is the government of Hon’ble Modiji. Ensure that Yeddyurappa will win and convert Karnataka together to number one state.”
