The Government of Telangana has sanctioned 66 Special Category Posts of Urdu Officers to cater to the linguistic needs of the local people in administration. A K Khan Advisor to the Government Minorities Welfare and Prof. S A Shukoor Director/Secretary Telangana State Urdu Academy while speaking to the media persons here today said ‘’Out of these 66 posts six posts are of Urdu Officers Grade I and 60 posts area of Urdu Officers Grade II. They said two posts each are for Chief Minister’s Office, Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council, 31 posts are meant for District Collectors Offices, 17 posts are for Ministers four are for General Administration Department while one each will be for Assembly Speaker, Legislative council chairman, I&PR Department, Minorities Welfare Department, DGP, Commissioner of Police and Telangana State Urdu Academy.’’
Describing details of qualifications, they said that for the post of Urdu Officer Grade I the candidate should possess Post Graduation, Graduation either Urdu as medium of instruction of Urdu as one of the subjects and SSC with Telugu as second language, while for the post of Urdu Officer Grade II Graduation either Urdu as medium of instruction of Urdu as one of the subjects and SSC with Telugu as second language. The age limit for the candidates is 21 years and 44 years.
They said that the recruitment has been entrusted to Telangana State Urdu Academy, which in turn has obtained Technical support from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The Online applications on www.tsua.in from eligible candidates has already commenced from today and April 23rd is the last date for filing applications. Written Examination would be held on 20th May, 2018, they said.
