The Deputy Chief Minister – Revenue, Mohd Mahmood Ali, held meeting with R.V.Chandravadan, Commissioner and EO, Prl.Secretary Revenue (Disaster Management), Government of Telangana and discussed about the measures being taken to tackle the conditions prevailing with regard to the increasing temperatures in the state.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasised that every possible measure should be put in place so that no individual is put to hardship. Apprising Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Commissioner and EO, Prl. Secretary Revenue (Disaster Management), said that all the District Collectors have prepared district wise action plan based on the guidelines provided by the government during summer and are in place.
He said that in every district a three member team has been constituted for conducting enquiry and submit report on any reported case of heat wave deaths in the state.
With regard to drinking water he said the situation is under control as sufficient water is available across the state for drinking water purpose. He also said that necessary measures to provide water and fodder for both milch animals and for wild life in the forests have been taken.
Apart from this concerned District Collectors in cooperation with NGOs are providing necessary support for organising drinking water camps, shelters, etc.
He also said that electronic alerts on heat conditions are being sent through the help of various service providers to general public so that they are aware of the situation and take necessary measures on their personal front also Expressing satisfaction on the level of preparedness of the concerned departments to tackle heat wave in this summer season, The Deputy Chief Minister – Revenue, Mohd Mahmood Ali, appealed that every individual to be vigilant and take appropriate measures with regard to the changes in heat conditions and help the government in tackling any untoward incidents in this summer.
