The Recruitment Test for the Urdu Officers Grade I and Grade II were held today in Hyderabad. A. K. Khan Advisor to the Government, Minorities Welfare announced this and said that the whole process of selection of the candidates would be completed within two months.
Addressing Media persons he said that the Government of Telangana has sanctioned 66 Special category posts of Urdu Officers to cater to the linguistic needs of the local people in administration. He said that examination for Urdu Officers Grade II were held in the morning at five centers in which 3496 candidates appeared, while a total of 4518 candidates had applied on line. Total 1022 candidates were absent. In the Grade II 77% candidates appeared in the examination. He said that process of recruitment has been entrusted to T.S. Urdu Academy, which in turn with the technical support of the Jawharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, had carried out the recruitment tests successfully.
The Prof. S. A. Shukoor, Director/Secretary Telangana State Urdu Academy was also present on this occasion, he said that Urdu Officer Grade I examination was held at Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology, Kukatpally, Nizampet Road, Bachupally, Hyderabad. The other four centers were (1) Nizam College, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad, (2) Malla Reddy Institute of Engineering & Technology, Maisammaguda, Dhulapally Road,, Secunderabad; (3) VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology, Bachupally, Nizampet, Hyderabad; & (4) MLR Institute of Technology, Laxman Reddy Avenue, Gandimysamma Police Station Road, Dundigal (V), Quthbullapur (M), Medchal (D), Hyderabad.
