The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue), Mohd. Mahmood Ali, on Monday directed the officials concerned to make all the necessary arrangements for the Ramzan festival to be celebrated in June.
At a review meeting held in his chambers in Secretariat, where the Advisor to Govt. (Minorities Welfare) A.K Khan, Chairman, Wakf Board and Senior Officials were present, the Hon’ble Dy.CM (Revenue) said that, 500 Gift-Packs will be distributed at each of the 800 Masjids in the state from May 31st which include 400 Masjids in the Hyderabad City and another 400 in the districts. In addition to this an amount of Rs.1, 00,000 has been sanctioned for the each Masjid for Iftar. He also directed the officials concerned to make elaborate arrangements for Iftar to be held at Fateh Maidan (L.B.Stadium) on 8th June.
The B.Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC, Dana Kishore, Secretary to Minorities Welfare and Managing Director, HMWS&SB, Anjani Kumar, Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Mahesh Bhagwat, Rachakonda Police Commissioner, Arvinder Singh, Director, Protocol and other officials were present at the meeting.
