The Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue), Mohd. Mahmood Ali said here on Thursday that Rs.33 Crores has been sanctioned for the Ramzan Celebrations of which Rs.15 Crores is allocated for Iftar.
After holding a meeting on the arrangements being made for Iftar at L.B. Stadium in the State to be held on June 8th in the city, the Deputy Chief Minister told to the media persons that he has directed the officials concerned to see to it that all the arrangements are in place. He said that 500 gift-packs each to 800 Masjids in the state, including 400 in the city are being distributed. Besides, Rs.1, 00,000 each has been sanctioned for all the Masjids for the Iftar.
He said that Telangana is on the top in the Budget allocation for the Ramzan in the country after the separate state is formed. The Deputy Chief Minister stated that Telangana State stood at the top in all the sectors in the country. He directed the officials to ensure that the guests who are attending the Iftar at L.B. Stadium on June 8th should not face any inconvenience and that the officials should make all the arrangements to erect barricades, supply of safe-drinking water, sanitation and mobile toilets. He also wanted that there should not be any disruption in the power supply. He directed the police to make the necessary arrangements for parking of the vehicles of the guests who are participating in the Iftar. He directed the I & PR officials to make the arrangements for Public Address System and install LED screens at the L.B. Stadium. He said that Hyderabad District Collector has been appointed as the Nodal Officer to supervise the arrangements for the event.
Those who are present at the review meeting include the Advisor to Govt. (Minorities Welfare), A.K.Khan, the Chairman of the Wakf Board, the Secretary (Minorities Welfare), Dana Kishore, The District Collector (Hyderabad) Yogita Rana and senior officials of various departments.
