The Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana celebrated World Environment Day-2018 in order to raise awareness about protection of environment. As a part of the Institute’s commitment to environment, the Guest Faculty Members for all the training programs today were presented saplings.
That, On this occasion B P Acharya, IAS, Spl. Chief Secretary to Government & DG, Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana planted saplings on the campus of the Institute.
A large number of Officers, Faculty, Staff, and Trainee Group-I Officers, who participated in the program in large numbers, planted a variety of saplings at different locations across the campus of the Institute.
The “Dr. MCR HRD Institute is an eco-responsible Institute with the least possible carbon footprints, and towards this, it has been using the model of reduce, reuse, and recycle water and waste”, Sri Acharya said and added that the Institute has initiated a number of innovative measures, including an extensive use of solar power, aimed at protection of environment and conservation of nature.
In order to create awareness about issues relating to environment, a documentary film, “An Inconvenient Truth: A Global Warning”, was screened in Dasarathi Auditorium of the Institute. The Officers, Faculty, Staff, and Trainees witnessed the film and appreciated it.
