The Professor Jayashankar Telangana state Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has jointly organized the Industry Interface program here on Thursday at the Robbing hall in University Auditorium under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor PJTSAU Dr. V Praveen Rao. The CII Chairman of Telangana Mr. Sanjay singh, Director CII Telangana State office Mr. Subhajit saha and University Registrar Dr. S Sudheer Kumar, university officers of PJTSAU, Members of Board of Management committee of PJTSAU Dr. Jagadeeshwar, Dr. Manohar Rao, Dr. Umadevi, Agro Industries MD’s & CMD’s were participated in this interface program and gave several suggestions to encourage the agricultural graduates for enabling with entrepreneurial skills. Dr Praveen Rao Explained about the Student Ready program and revision of curriculum with the 5th dean’s committee recommendations, experiential learning program to impart the entrepreneurial skills among agricultural graduates in 4th year. As part of the experiential learning programs some of the vermi compost, Biofertilisers units were established in the university colleges across the state said by the VC. He stated that, all these efforts are put to develop entrepreneurial skills in agricultural graduates by taking the support from the agro based industries in the state. VC Seeks the cooperation from the industry to extend the support for impart hands on experience, trainings, report writing etc and he also asked the representatives of companies about how many students may accommodate in their firms.
In this interface session the minimum duration for the training was also came for discussion. Industry representatives have convinced the VC about the need to have 3 to 6 months training is required for the students to get the skills & knowledge about the industry.
The University officers of PJTSAU Dr. KS Dangi, Dr. D Rajireddy, Dr. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Dr. Sadashivarao, Dr. Laxman, Associate Deans of the Agricultural, Agril Engineering, Food Science &Technology and College of Home Science, and other scientists from PJTSAU were present.
