The Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, MA&UD Department said that the MA&UD Department is planning to create a separate App for the working pattern of the Engineering Wing to have a clear transparency the works which are being taken up by the Engineering wings in the Municipal Corporations.
The Arvind Kumar Principal Secretary, MA&UD, Dr.B.Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC along with Chief Engineer, Sri Ziauddin, Sri Mohan Naik, Zonal Commissioner, Sri N. Ravi Kiran held a special review meeting with regard to Road Repairing and Restoration works at Charminar Zone office.
While interacting with the officials the Principal Secretary said that for clear transparency of the Engineering works a separate app is being created duly taking up the photographs of the works for uploading the same with the help of the app which is going to be introduced from next week with which the senior officials will know the process of the works which are being taken up and officers will also be able the process of the restoration works.
The Principal Secretary directed the AEs who have been appointed through NAAC everyday they have to visit their allotted wards and must coordinate to monitor the road restoration works especially whenever the rains are being occurred. The senior engineering officials must conduct meetings ward wise in the coming two days and see that road restoration works must be completed on priority.
The citizens must also be informed about the road restoration works so that they will also know the works which are being taken up for overall development of the city and the officials must also passing on the information through Twitters for better clarity.
Dr.B.Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC said that the road restoration works are taken up in a very speed manner the works which are being taken up the concerned engineers must display the boards with all the relevant information pertaining to starting date and completing date of the works along with the estimated cost etc., for clear information to the citizens.
The road restoration works during rainy season are being taken up duly deploying 384 monsoon special teams and it is one of its kind where no other Corporation has taken up such type of works. Recently the Supreme Court has passed certain orders that the deaths are being occurred only due to pot holes on the roads as per the directions the identified pot holes will be restored on the same day for the convenience of the citizens said the Commissioner.
The Principal Secretary made a surprise inspection of the road restoration works at Rajendranagar circle later on a review meeting has been conducted at Rajendranagar circle office where the Principal Secretary has given clear directions to take up road restoration works on priority.
