The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in collaboration with other Central Ministries, State Governments and Stakeholders is organizing “Paryatan Parv” across the country from the 16th to 27th September 2018. The Parv is being organized with the objective of drawing focus on the benefits of tourism, showcasing the cultural diversity of the country and reinforcing the principle of “Tourism for All”.
The Paryatan Parv will have three main components viz. Dekho Apna Desh, Tourism for All and Tourism & Governance. This year Paryatan Parv shall focus on domestic tourists especially to sensitize youth. The states will focus on prime tourist destinations to focus and promote tourist destinations through Paryatan Parv. Tourism sector contributes in a big way to the country’s economy with generation of employment to youth, women and also for the rural livelihood. Therefore, the programmes have a festive look and will encourage maximum possible participation of the people.
Dekho Apna Desh: The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation is organising various package tours within & outside the state and also hop on hopoff, FAM & customised tours etc. Special packages like Kaleshwaram Tour which is one of the biggest irrigation projects in the country, Nagarjunasagar – Srisailam tour over boat etc. are also being organised. The Department is aggressively promoting the packages, tourist attractions/destinations during various participations at National and International Tourism fairs/marts and also creating infrastructure facilities so as to attract large number of domestic and foreign tourists to the state.
Tourism for All: Tourism is economically important and is growing rapidly. It is the only sector where all the sections of tourists/people irrespective of their caste, creed and religion will be visiting various tourist destinations/attractions, historical monuments etc. across the globe.
Tourism & Governance: The Government have taken various steps to improvise the tourism sector in the Telangana State such as safety and security to the tourists – she teams, SOS, Hawkeye etc have been established by the Police Department, Information at one stop – Integration of technology for seamless travel through mobile app.
The Department of Tourism, Government of Telangana in collaboration with the India Tourism, Hyderabad is organising various activities in Hyderabad under the said event. Various other Departments/organisations have also been involved in the Paryatan Parv celebrations. Around 36 artists of Telangana State are participating in the said celebrations at New Delhi. Further all the District Collectors have also been requested to organise the said celebrations in their respective Districts to promote the tourist destinations, heritage, culture etc. of the State. The Department had organized awareness campaign on importance of water bodies & cleanliness drive at Neknampur Lake, Hyderabad on 20th September, 2018 at 10.00 AM. Tirupathaiah, Director General (Additional PCCF), Forest Academy, Sunita M Bhagwat, IFS, Commissioner (Tourism), Smt. Visalatchy, IPoS, Director (Heritage Telangana), B.Manohar, MD (FAC), TSTDC, C.V.Shankar Reddy, Assistant Director, India Tourism, Hyderabad have graced the occasion. Around 350 members of various schools (Krishnaveni Talent School (Manikonda & Shaikpet), Triveni Talent School, Gayatri Techno School), colleges (CMR College, Medchal, IIMC, Panjagutta, MGIT, IHM, JNTU), IT professionals (Bank of America, Cognizant, Sutherland) have attended for the swachhta activity at the said venue.
A talk on importance of conservation of historical monuments followed by Heritage walk was organized at Qutub Shahi tombs, Hyderabad on 20th September, 2018 and around 80 students have participated.
