The Chief Electoral Officer, Rajat Kumar has conducted a Video Conference today from his chambers with all the District Election Authorities and Collectors. He has instructed to ensure the facilities to be provided to the persons with disability on the day of polling.
1) Sensitizing the polling staff and to prepare special list of persons with disability,
2) Mapping the Persons with Disability data with electoral roll,
3) Arranging the polling stations at Ground floor,
4) Sturdy ramps and priority access to booths,
5) Designated parking space and polling station wise mapping of each person with disability.
6) Free transportation to Polling Station on Poll day.
7) Auxiliary Polling Stations to blind.
8) To involve the Women Development, Child Welfare & Disabled Welfare Dept. to take inputs of the Department.
The M. Jagadeeshwar, Secretary, Women Development and Child Welfare & Disabled Welfare Department, Additional CEO Buddha Prakash Jyothi, Joint CEO Ms.Amrapali Kata are also participated in the video conference.
