The Civil Supplies Department Consumer Help Desk once again came to rescue of medical victims. It solved the case in one month time and helped victims to get Rs. 3 lakh compensation.
The Santosha (45yrs) of Koudepally village, Medak district went to local Uma Nursing Home for Family Planning Operation. On 20th March this year RMP Prabhakar consultant at Uma Nursing Home conducted Family Planning operation to Santosha. On 21st March, the operation failed and she died. She has three children of 6yrs, 3yrs and 8 months old. Due to the death of Santosha, her children became abandoned, their uncle Swamy brother of Santosha filed a case on RMP Prabhakar as his sister died of RMP’s negligence. But for waging legal fight he had no economical support. At that time he got to know about the Civil Supplies Department Consumer Help Desk, where victims can get legal aid at free of cost and approached on 22nd September. Taking this issue very seriously Consumer Help Desk sent notice to RMP Prabhakar and solved the case in one month time.
That As per the orders of Consumer Help Desk the accused agreed to pay Rs. 3 lakhs to the Santosha children. On Saturday, Civil Supplies Department Commissioner Sri Akun Sabharwal handed over the compensation amount to the victims.
