The Agricultural Education day was celebrated In memory of the Birth anniversary of former president of India Dr. Babu Rajendra prasad here on Monday at the premises of College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU). On this occasion an Exhibition has been organized to showcase the latest Agricultural research and developments in Agronomy, Agri Business Management, Agriculture Extension, Farm Machinery, Plant pathology, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Chemistry, Plant Physiology, Water Technology, Home science etc.. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor PJTSAU Dr. V Praveen Rao has attended as chief guest and inaugurated the Exhibition organized here at Agriculture College. VC has visited all the stalls arranged at the exhibition and interacted with the students came over 20 schools from Hyderabad city.
And about the 1000 students from 20 schools from Hyderabad city were visited the stalls and attended the seminar organized on “Importance of Agricultural Education and Opportunities in Agriculture Sector” The lecture was delivered by Dr. B Shivaprasad. The students from various schools were felt happy by knowing the farm research and education activities in the university. Many of students have first time exposed the farm activities. As they remembered and praised the services of the farmers in the country for providing the food for its citizens.
The Dr. Sudheer Kumar, Registrar and Dean of Agriculture, PJTSAU, Dr. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Dean student affairs, Dr. Umadevi, Member board of Management committee, Dr. J Satyanarayana, Associate Dean college of Agriculture, Dr. P Ramesh, OSA were present in the program.
