Telangana State is adjudged as the Best State for Promoting Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities – 2018, by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The National Award is conferred from the hands of his Excellency Hon’ble Vice President of India, at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 3rd December 2018 on the occasion of International Day for Persons with Disabilities.
The Award is received by M.Jagadeeshwar,IAS Principal Secretary to Government, Department for Women, Children, Disabled & Senior Citizens and B.Shailaja, Director & State Commissioner, Welfare of Disabled & Senior Citizens on behalf of State of Telangana.
