In tune with the Chief Minister’s vision for a bringing a transformative and innovative change of Hyderabad city, a high level preparatory meeting with all the line departments was held at the secretariat. Presiding over the meeting Chief Secretary Dr S K Joshi asked the officials to submit the details along with the available data for preparing a concept note by the ASCI and MAUD department by this Tuesday. The concept note is part of the comprehensive master plan which will be prepared by the ASCI within six months.
The Officials who spoke on the proposed master plan observed that plan should include within ORR, between the ORR and RRR and outside 5 kms of RRR. It should also include zoning of areas for development of economic anchors such as media hub, sports hub, health care hub among others. Integrated satellite townships for all inclusive development should also be part of the master plan. Balancing growth with development, review of institutional structures, governance for improved performance and accountability and development of infrastructure with an eye on the next 30 years should be incorporated in the plan, chief secretary said.
The Principal Secretary Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar said that the plan would look into the transportation, traffic congestion, ease of living aspect, drinking water and road plan as well. Strengthening institutions and innovative financing to support city development will also be part of the master plan, he added.
The Principal Secretary Health Shanti Kumari, Tourism Secretary B Venkatesham, GHMC commissioner Danakishore and other officials attended the meeting.
