Dr. Smt. AlaguVarshini said that the primary focus of the Indian systems of medicine is on identifying the root cause of diseases and finding out permanent solutions to them rather than merely addressingtheir symptoms and providingtemporary relief and quick-fix solutions to patients. “The thrust is more on boosting the immune system of people so as to ensure that they remain healthy and do not fall ill in the first place”, she said with a sense of pride and added that at least on one day the doctors will cater to the panchakarma requirements of patients.
Dr Smt.
