The State Government has given its consent for conducted of Elections to Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad members whose term to be over shortly. Recently the State Election Commission has sent its proposals to the Government expressing its preparedness for conduct of Mandal Parishad and Zilla Parishad elections. Central Election Commission has also agreed to the proposal to conduct Mandal Parishad and Zilla Parishad Elections after completion of Elections to the Lok Sabha in Telangana State. Against this background Honourable Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao held discussions with the officers concerned on Friday at Pragathi Bhavan regarding conduct of elections to Mandal Parishad and Zilla Parishad. The State Government has proposed to the State Election Commission that the process for conduct of Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad elections may go on from April 22nd, 2019 to May 14th, 2019. However the results would be announced only after the announcement of Lok Sabha election results.
