Hyderabad: The Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan Speaking to the Telecom officials who called on him at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Golden Anniversary of the World Telecommunications Day on Friday, Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan informed the Telecom officials of AP & Telangana Circle that there is an urgent need to bring awareness among public on the mobile security threats and precautions to be taken while doing digital transactions through mobile phones. The Governor released an information leaflet on “Mobile Security Awareness – Threats and Precautions” brought out by the Telecom department for the benefit of mobile users. The leaflet contains the Do’s and Don’ts to prevent financial and privacy frauds on both feature phones and smart phones.
The Governor appreciated efforts of the Telecom dept for bringing out the leaflet as part of public awareness campaign. K. Ramchand, Senior Deputy Director General, Department of Telecommunications, AP & Telangana Circle and other officials of the department were present on the occasion.
