The Speech of Hon’ble Home Minister Mohammed Mohmood Ali
First of all let me congratulate the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Mahesh Bhagwat ji for his zeal and commitment in early completion of the construction of 3 new buildings for Medipally Police station, CCS & SOT at Bhagath Singh Nagar and Motor Transport Office at Amberpet.
I feel delighted to inaugurate these new police buildings in a single day.
Apart from equipped with good vehicles for mobility, technological support and equipment, logistics, sufficient staff, there is definite need for providing better infrastructural facilities for the police to deliver optimum services to the public and effective functioning.
Till now, Mamidipalli Police Station functioned from Mandal guest house. Today, the police station has a new building with smart facilities like reception, command control room, conference hall, men and women barracks, etc. Spending 2.5 Crores with 11000 square feet area.
The important and specialized wings of the Commissionerate CCS & SOT have also got new building Complex at Bhagat Singh Nagar with a floor area 13000 sft. It is happy to note that the 3rd floor of his building houses IT Wing.
The Motor Transport (MT) Office at Amberpet has been a longstanding need of the Commissionerate as Rachakonda is a new Commissionerate without a MT headquarter building though owning a massive fleet of 1506 vehicles. With the construction of the new building now, the fleet can now be efficiently and effectively managed.
This New Building for MT Wing has workstations for officers, provision for holding training and orientation classes to the MT personnel, Blue Colts and Petrol Mobiles. 40 members can dine in this building at a time.
Your all are aware that the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao garu has given foremost importance to police department ever since the formation of Telangana State by allocating substantial budget to Police Department.
To strengthen the Police, new vehicles with all equipments worth about 700 crores have been provided to the Police Department. New Buildings for Police Stations, Police Offices, Headquarters etc. are being constructed. Renovation of Police Station Buildings and Police Offices has been taken up to provide required infrastructural facilities in order to implement people friendly policing concept.
Very shortly, Hyderabad Mega City is going to have an global-standard Integrated Police Command and Control Centre at Banjarahills with an estimated cost of 300 crores, one of its kind in entire country. Entire state police database will be connected to this centre. Besides, crime control, effective policing, traffic management and monitoring through CCTV cameras at this center, it will be possible to monitor natural calamities, fairs and festivals and law and order.
Various schemes, programmes have been initiated and implemented in Police Department for its reformation and strengthening. Firm action is taken against gambling, illicit liquor, drugs related cases. Due to strengthening of police, the law and order situation is on an efficient and effective track.
I am glad that very recently, I inaugurated New Building at Malkajgiri for Rachakonda Commissionerate which was originally meant for Malkajgiri DCP Office. Now, these buildings.
I wish that the Rachakonda Police under the command of Mahesh Bhagwat ji would work more effectively in combating various crimes and maintain effective law and order.
I compliment the Commissioner, Rachakonda, officers and men on this occasion.
I appreciate all the Telangana Police force lead by M Mahender Reddy for becoming a role-model for the entire country in several aspects.
Jai Telangana
