Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with nationalistic fervor at Metro Rail Bhavan, Rasoolpura today (15th of August).
The MD, HMRL Sri NVS Reddy unfurled the national flag and recalled the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters who participated in freedom movement.
He stated that Hyderabad Metro Rail project with it’s financial and engineering innovation already won more than 75 national and international Awards. He mentioned that reversal facility at Hitec city has been completed in all respects and that the frequency of trains will be increased to and from Hitec City in all directions in a few days from now. He also stated that works up to Raidurg (Mindspace Jn. station) are also nearing completion and trial runs will start on the section between Hitec city and Raidurg stations. Yesterday (Wednesday) a new record was created with 3.06 lakh passengers travelling by Metro trains and Metro stations experiencing 3.22 lakh footfalls, he added.
The HMRL Chief Electrical Engineer Mr. DVS Raju, Chief Project Manager Mr.Anand Mohan, Supdt.Engineer Mr. M.Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, GM (Works) Mr.BN Rajeswar, DCP Mr.A.Balakrishna, Mr.Krishna Moorthy, Louis Berger and others have participated in the celebrations.
