The Chief Secretary Dr S.K Joshi has flagged off Metro shuttle services between BRK Bhavan and Lakdi ka pul metro station here on today (Wednesday, Oct 23, 2019) at BRK Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary has appealed to the secretariat employees to make use of the facility of shuttle service provided by the HMRL. He also advised MD, HMRL to provide similar facility from other metro stations.
Mr Adhar Sinha, Spl CS, GAD said this facility would provide much convenience to women employees in particular and thanked the service providers and HMRL for conceding their request to provide shuttle service for Secretariat employees.
The Managing Director, HMRL Mr NVS Reddy informed that first & last mile connectivity has been arranged at 40 metro stations so far and over 10,000 commuters are utilising this facility. The shuttle services will be operated for every 15 minutes daily between BRK Bhavan and Lakdi ka pul from 8.30 am to 11 am, and 5 pm to 7 pm, he said.
