The Satyavathi Rathod, Hon’ble Minister, Tribal Welfare& Women & Child Welfare Departments, Government of Telangana released Teachers Manual and Students Workbooks as a part of Intensive Training Program for Tribal Welfare Department of Telangana, sponsored by Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), on October 22nd, 2019 at Dr MCR HRD Institute.
The Satyavathi Rathod said that selection of the Tribal Welfare Department of Telangana by the DoPT for imparting training to all its employees is a first-of-its-kind initiative in the entire country and added that its successful implementation will be greatly instrumental in replicating this experiment across the length and breadth of the country. Continuing her address, she said that the Teachers Manual and Students Workbooks will benefit a whopping about one lakh students and over 3000 teachers from across the Telangana State. She said that the Intensive Training Program which involves imparting of training to the entire staff of 5476, from across the State, will be greatly helpful in improving their knowledge, skills, and attitudes, discharging their duties with a professional touch, and thereby emerging as a role model not only in the Telangana State but also in the entire country.
The B P Acharya, IAS, Spl Chief Secretary & DG, Dr MCR HRD Institute said that while the struggle for getting separate Telangana was important in its own right, all sections of society in general and Government employees in particular, should continue their efforts, with the same enthusiasm, for realizing the dream of Bangaru Telangana. “However, mere enthusiasm is not enough. It calls for high levels of competence on the part of employees and the opportunities to undergo continuous training, provided by the DoPT, would go a long way in empowering the employees to contribute their mite to making the dream of Bangaru Telangana a vibrant reality”, he added.
The Benhur Mahesh Dutt Ekka, IAS, Secretary to Government, Tribal Welfare Department said that the world of work is changing at a fast pace and, in this scenario; the employees of the Tribal Welfare Department should attend the training programs on a continuous basis and keep their skill set current and up-to-date.
The Christina Z Chonghu, IAS, Commissioner, Tribal Welfare Department said that the training modules, which have been developed in the light of a training needs analysis, in a systematic and scientific fashion, will go a long way in empowering the employees in achieving the cherished goals of the Department.
The Satyavathi Rathod released two Telangana Life Style-related documents and Telugu version of COMMIT Modules. On this occasion, floral tributes were paid to late S R Sankaran, IAS (Retd.), an illustrious IAS oficer, on his birth anniversary. The M P Sethy, Chief Consultant (e-Learning & Training) welcomed the gathering. S M Nabi. Director (Training) proposed a vote of thanks. Srinivas Madhav, senior Faculty conducted the proceedings of the function.
