The Telangana government, in association with BodhBridge, a company incubated by IIT Madras, launched the “My Choice My Future (MCMF)” program across Telangana Model Schools in 27 districts. The one-of-its –kind initiative put 18,000 students from 194 schools through a Psychometric Analysis and Career Guidance. The pilot project was completed in a record time of 60 days.
The MCMF is a simple 72-question survey that provides detailed insights into students’ dominant Personalities and Career Interests. It helps the students and their teachers gain an understanding of the abilities, and assist them with their doubts and apprehensions. Especially for students of class 10, it proved to be a guiding light to help make the right decision after their board exams.
Apart from touching 18,000 students through the Psychometric Assessment, nearly 200 teachers from the Model Schools were trained and certified to administer and counsel/guide the student using MCMF. We strongly believe that at school level Teachers serve as the “Intervention Partners”. Teachers play a crucial role in every student’s life and so MCMF sees teachers as the “First Level Career Counsellors”. A teacher, as a career guide and as an “Intervention Partner”, not only helps the current batch of students, but also the batches to come. We believe that teachers touch more young lives than anybody else.
