Hyderabad: In connection with the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll with reference 01-01-2020, a meeting has been convened in the Chamber of the CEO, Telangana under the chairmanship of Dr.Rajat Kumar, CEO, Telangana. The Representation from the National and State Recognized political parties have attended the meeting. While welcoming the members who were present on behalf of their respective parties in the meeting, CEO has briefed about the schedule of SSR 2020 and informed that the draft roll was published on 16-12-2019 and was placed on the website www.ceotelangana.nic.in, claims & objection period is upto to 15-1-2020 and the final publication of electoral is 7-2-2020. The CEO has also informed about the preparation of Nazri Naksha by geo-referencing of households with the EPICs. Lastly, the CEO has also informed about the celebration of National Voters’ Day on 25-01-2020 with the theme “Electoral Literacy for Stronger Democracy”.
2. The representatives of political parties while appreciating Geo- referencing of Households and EPICs in the state has requested that it must reflect in the final roll and while discussing on certain issues of the SSR have suggested organizing special campaign days and deletion of the repeated electors in the draft roll. The CEO has agreed for organizing Special Campaign days on 11-01-2020 & 12-01-2020 at all Polling Stations in the State and instructed the concerned officers to issue necessary instruction to all the DEOs in this regard.
