Hyderabad: In view of Covid-19 global pandemic, the state of Telangana has strengthened surveillance, contact tracing and containment measures against the possible spread of disease.
Till date Thirty-Three (33) positive cases of COVID19
New confirmed cases as on 23.03.2020 = 6 cases
P28: 21 yrs male, student, resident of Balkampet, Hyderabad with travel history of return from France. Patient stable and admitted in designated Hospital
P29: 30 yrs male, student, resident of Shantinagar, Saidabad, Hyderabad with travel history of return from London. Patient is stable and admitted in designated hospital
P30: 23 yrs, male, student, resident of Karimnagar without any travel history. He was contact of the Group from Indonesia. Patient stable and admitted in designated Hospital
P31: 20yrs, male, student, Unmarried, resident of Somajiguda, Hyderabad with travel history from New York, Patient is stable and admitted in designated Hospital
P32: 25 yrs, male, student, Unmarried, resident of Gachibowli, Hyderabad with travel history from London, Patient is stable and admitted in designated Hospital
P33: 56 yrs male, married, business man, resident of Kukatpally, Medchal District with travel history from Srilanka, patient is stable and admitted in designated Hospital
Action Initiated:
The Honorable Chief Minister has declared a total lock down in the state till 31st March 2020.
Containment process has been initiated in places where confirmed cases have been diagnosed.
The state is exploring the possibility of going in for fever surveillance in the entire state.
Appeal to the Public:
✓ Any person who has returned from any foreign country or has been in transit shall be in self-home quarantine for 14 days from the time of arrival in India, irrespective of having any symptoms or not.
✓ Any person who has been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 must remain in strict home quarantine for 14 days.
✓ To contact the nearest government hospital immediately after the onset of symptoms.
✓ To call 104 Health Help line for all queries pertaining to Covid-19.
✓ Public is requested to avoid travel, large gatherings and crowded areas.
✓ To maintain personal hygiene, Hand hygiene, social distancing, cough hygiene and other preventive measures.
✓ Please do not believe rumors, fake news in social platforms.
The Public is requested to stay calm and not panic. State is taking all the measures to contain the spread of the virus to protect and safeguard the public.
