Hyderabad: In view of Covid-19 global pandemic, the state of Telangana has strengthened surveillance, contact tracing and containment measures against the possible spread of disease.
Till date Thirty-Seven (37) positive cases of COVID19 New confirmed cases as on 24.03.2020 = 4 cases
P34: 49 yrs. male, Married, resident of Kokapet, Rangareddy with travel history from London. Patient stable and admitted in designated Hospital P35: 39 yrs. female, Married, resident of Chandanagar, Rangareddy with travel history from Germany. Patient is stable and admitted in designated hospital
P36: 61yrs, female, Housewife, resident of Begumpet, Hyderabad with travel history from Saudi Arabia. Patient stable and admitted in designated Hospital
P37: 64 yrs, female, Housewife, resident of Manikonda, Hyderabad family contact of one of the positive case (P25)

Action Initiated:
The state is exploring the possibility of going in for fever surveillance in the entire state
The Honorable Chief Minister has declared a total lock down in the state till 31st March 2020.
Containment process has been initiated in places where confirmed cases have been diagnosed.
Appeal to the Public:
✓ Any person who has returned from any foreign country or has been in transit shall be in self-home quarantine for 14 days from the time of arrival in India, irrespective of having any symptoms or not.
✓ Any person who has been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 must remain in strict home quarantine for 14 days.
All citizens are requested to follow the lock down guidelines, stay at home & move only in the case of acute medical emergency.
✓ To contact the nearest government hospital immediately in case of onset of symptoms.
✓ To call 104 Health Help line for all queries pertaining to Covid-19.
✓ To maintain personal hygiene, Hand hygiene, social distancing, cough hygiene and other preventive measures.
✓ Please do not believe rumors, fake news in social platforms.
The Public is requested to stay calm and not panic. State is taking all the measures to contain the spread of the virus to protect and safeguard the public.
