The National Conference on Power Transformers, 24th-25th October 2017 is organized by Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) and CIGRE India in association with Transmission Corporation of Telangana (TSTRANSCO) at TSGENCO Auditorium, GTS Colony, Erragadda is inaugurated by the honourable Chairman and Managing Director /TSTRANSCO & TSGENCO, D.Prabhakar Rao .
Further , the Chairman and Managing Director/ TSSPDCL, G.Raghuma Reddy, G.Narsing Rao, Director (Projects & Grid Operations)/TSTRANSCO, T.Jagath Reddy, Director (Transmission)/TSTRANSCO, J.Surya Prakash, Director(Lift Irrigation Schemes)/TSTRANSCO, J. Srinivasa Reddy ,Director(Operations)/TSSPDCL and CBIP team headed by P.P.Wahi Director (CBIP) and Ramachandram , Advisor CBIP, Selim Yurekten, from Enpay Transformer Components, Turkey are participated in the Inaugural function. Around 200 delegates from various public and private sectors and Engineers from TSTRANSCO, TSGENCO,TSDISCOMs attended the conference.
The CMD/TSTRANSCO & TSGENCO D.Prabhakar Rao addressed the gathering and emphasised for (i) the cost effectiveness of the Power Transformers without compromising the quality and (ii) prevention of Power Transformer failures for reliable Power supply. He suggested for exploring the solutions for the enhancement of Power Transformers efficiency and reliability during the conference. He also suggested the organisers to let this conference be more of interactive than of theoretical.
