New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party has said on Saturday that it will organize “Fraud Day” on 8th November as the first anniversary of the demonetisation of high value currency by the government.
The Delhi rural development minister Gopal Rai told the media here, “On this day, we will have to face nationwide protests against wrong policies and will take a wrong decision of demonetisation taken by the BJP led government’s chance.”
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on November 8 last year to scrapping the notes of 500 rupees and 1,000 rupees, in a surprise move.
The Rai also said that the party will hold a national conference on November 26 to complete its five years, as it was decided in the party’s national council meeting on Thursday. The members of the party from all over the country will be gathered for this conference and so far the work done by the party will be discussed.
He said, “We will talk about issues related to farmers, which have been cropped by the central government, besides, there will be dialogue on the demonetisation and talks on GST (goods and services tax).” These two decisions made by the BJP government at the Center have ruined the country’s economy.
