Hyderabad: The Dr RS Praveen Kumar Secretary, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) inaugurated the three-day state level ‘Spectrum 2017’ at TSWRS Narsingi School, Hyderabad. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Dr Kumar said, more than 70% of today’s occupations would become automated by 2050. The need of the hour is to find the out-of-the box solutions to tackle real-world problems, while emphasizing creativity as an essential 21st century skill.
The Dr Kumar said the TSWREIS is committed to educating the students beyond the confines of the classroom by nurturing higher-order thinking skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities. In the Spectrum, 2017, the best brains of the Society will battle it out in competitive events like Essay-writing, Elocution, Debate, Quiz, Spell Bee, Dance, Youth Parliament, Culture and Scientific designs. The annual mega event saw a huge turnout of 1500 students across the Telangana state, and the competitions will be held under junior and senior categories.
The Dr Praveen Kumar thanked the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the Minister for Scheduled Caste Development Department G. Jagadish Reddy for providing quality education to the students from the disadvantaged sections of the society, under the KG-PG Mission.
