The Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) signed a Memorandum of understanding with Tennessee State University, USA. The Tennessee State University Dean and Director of Research Dr. Chandrareddy, and Asst. Professor Dr. De etra met with the PJTSAU Vice-Chancellor Dr. V. Praveen Rao at his office in Rajendranagar. Dr.V.Praveen Rao seeks the cooperation of Tennassee university in student faculty exchange programme, organize and start sanding which courses at PG level, certificate course in GIS and Remote sensing., Food science and agribusiness courses etc.
Tennessee University, USA has shown keen interest to collaborate with PJTSAU to up scaling of skills in the students and faculty of agriculture university. Dr.Chandra Reddy readily agreed to the proposal of faculty training and student exchange programme and preparing of joint research proposals in the areas of agriculture and allied sciences. The MoU between two universities will be valid for 3 years.
Both the PJTSAU and Tennessee State University representatives were discussed on several issues related to GIS and Remote sensing courses, environmental science, Genetics, Microbiology, Agri-economics, Home Science etc.,
The University Officers of PJTSAU Dr. Sudheer Kumar, Dr. K.S.Dangi, Dr. Jamuna Rani, Dr. Mrunalini, Dr. Sadasivarao, Dr. K.V.S. Meenakumari, Dr. T.Pradeep, Dr. D.Raji Reddy, Dr. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Dr. Sreedhar, Dr. K. Jeevan Rao and Dr. De Atra from America have also participated in the meeting.
