Panaji: The Goa Police has registered a criminal case against the Goa head of the Private FM Radio Station for alleged sexual harassing of a junior lady employee.
However, the radio station said, “Some former employees, who are suspected to be involved in a financial mess, are spreading false and malicious rumors about brands and some current employers.”
That the complainant is no longer working with the radio outlet, the police said.
According to a complaint filed in Panaji police station on Monday, on November 10, the accused talked with abusive words and commented on sexual color, which outraging the modesty of women. That the alleged incident occurred in the Panaji office of the FM radio station, the complainant said.
She claimed that the accused had threatened her on many occasions, the police said.
The Superintendent of Police (SP North) Chandan Chaudhary said that the police has registered an FIR against the accused under section 354 (outraging modesty), 354 (A) (sexual harassment), 354 (d) (504) and 504 (insult) of Indian Penal Code Entered.
