Hyderabad: The Andaman & Nicobar Officials Team applauded the results Telangana Civil Supplies Department by utilization and implementation of Modern Technology in public distribution system. The 25 delegate team from Revenue, Finance, Civil Supplies, IT, Zilla Parishat, Education, Election Commission departments visited Civil Supplies Bhavan, Somajiguda, on Thursday. Commissioner for Civil Supplies C.V. Anand held a meeting with the delegates.
The Ikhlaq Ali, N.K. Nazeer, K. Anwar Rasheed, Sheela Premji, Hema Basu, Elizer, Amith Biswas, Salona, Magdaline, Adimulam and others were in the team.
The team members observed the implementation of e-Pos, T-Ration App, Online Procurement Management System (OPMS). They asked about the details of supply of ration commodities, number of ration shops and ration cards, number of beneficiaries taking ration commodities every month without any irregularities.
While Speaking with the team, the Commissioner Anand said that the Telangana state government is very much supportive in the implementing modern technology. He further said that the Civil Supplies Department has achieved great results by using technology, where ever needed. That, Mainly PDS rice, black marketing is stopped. The Steps are taken to view live transactions of ration commodities start from Godown to the beneficiary.
