Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has made it clear that the temples coming under the control of the Hindu Dharma Pariraksha Trust of the endowment department of the AP government should be subject to the procedure established at the request of special worship (pujas), arjitha sevas and other ritual devotees, On New Year 1st January 2018.
The Justice Challa Kodandaram given the order on 21 December refused to suspend the AP government’s order and directed the officers of the temple to control the trust in order to avoid any expenditure to make the special decoration or arrangement on the New Year’s Day.
The judge made it clear that for the purpose of celebrating the New Year of the Gregorian calendar the temples will not have any expenditure mentioned in the circular.
The Demand for suspending circulars On the petition by T. Pradyoth, the Justice Kodandaram believed that detailed hearing was required on this issue as it contained fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India.
The judge issued notices to the AP government and other respondents and directed to file counter affidavit.
