Hyderabad: The sleuths of Special Team, CCS, DD, Hyderabad along with Market Police arrested two accused persons at Bhuj City, Gujarat State for cheating.
The arrested Accused persons are 1) Kakal Husen @ Basheer @ Farook @ Ashvak S/o.Late Vali Mamad, aged 42 yrs, R/o. Near Railway Gate, Bajuma, Air Port Road, Gandhi Nagar, Bhuj City, Kachchh District, Gujarat state, 2.Juneja Latif Mahamad @ Toufiq S/o. Juneja Mahamad, aged 37 yrs, Occ: Driver R/o. Abdul Sahara Chowk, Sanog Nagar, Bhuj City, Kachchh District, Gujarat State. (Brother in Law of A-1). The Absconding accused persons are 3) Ganesh @ Nawal Soni of Ahmedabad, Gujarat State, 4.Kumar R/o.Bhuj City, Kachchh District, Gujarat State.
The accused are professional cheaters and involved in several cheating cases all over India. The modus operandi of the accused is to contact the gold Jewellery business persons through social media and offer them to arrange gold at lower price than the market. Whenever the customers contact them on phone for purchase of gold, they trap them and sped away with the amounts of the customers by taking the name of raid by the custom officials.
The Complainant M.Sampath Kumar who is into the business of gold jewellery at Pot Market, Sec’bad complained at Market Police Station, Hyderabad that, in his routine business he came into contact with one person by name Nawal Soni of Ahmedabad through online in the month of September, 2017 who offered him to arrange gold at lower price than the market price. After several conversations, Nawal Soni invited the complainant to Bhuj City of Gujarat State. On that the complainant went to Bhuj City in the month of October, 2017 and met Nawal Soni, where he was introduced to one Basheer as his boss and Toufiq as the partner of Basheer. They discussed about the gold business and the accused assured to arrange gold to the complainant at lower price than the market. For which the complainant agreed to buy ½ Kg of gold initially from the accused with an amount of Rs.13 Lakhs and requested for some time to arrange the amount. Accordingly the complainant went to Bhuj City on 13.01.2018 along with his friend Bharath Kumar and paid an amount of Rs.13 Lakhs in cash towards the purchase of Half KG gold as mutually agreed with Basheer & his associates at his residence in Bhuj City. Upon which the said Basheer, informed to the complainant that as the customs department officials are watching their movements, he instructed the complainant and his friend to leave the Bhuj City by bus and their person who will be travelling with them in the bus, to hand over the half KG gold after some time in safe zone. Believing the words of Basheer the complainant travelled up to Ahmedabad and from there to Hyderabad, but no one from the accused side contacted the complainant to hand over him the gold as promised by the accused.
On the complaint of Sampath Kumar, the staff of Spl Team, CCS, Hyderabad and Staff of Market PS proceeded to Bhuj City and apprehended the accused Basheer and Toufiq.
Though similar type of cases are taking place in organized way, most of the victims are not coming forward to complain the police as they felt shy for the way they were cheated. As such the public in general are requested not to fall into the trap of such cheating gangs.
The arrested accused persons were sent to judicial custody, further investigation is going-on.
