Hyderabad: The NCC cadets put up spectacular performance at the ‘At Home’ programme at Raj Bhavan on Monday. I stand proudest of your stellar performance’, said Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, to the NCC cadets from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, who participated in the Republic Day Camp held at New Delhi from 1st January to 21st January, in the AT HOME programme held Raj Bhavan, on Monday. The Governor said that he has been the lucky Governor that the NCC cadets of AP and Telangana States have been putting up outstanding performance during Republic Day camps held at New Delhi every year and winning several Awards and prizes.
The Governor said that NCC Cadets should become relevant to the society and he said he was happy to note that the NCC Cadets have been visiting villages and participating in several programmes such as Swatch Bharat campaigns, health awareness etc. The Governor told the young cadets that they are future of the country and he is happy to note that they are helping out people in maintaining cleanliness, good health and hygiene etc. and told them to continue the good work. The Governor congratulated all the prize winners and complimented the NCC cadets for the power packed performance put up at the Raj Bhavan. The Governor said their performance enhances the Nationalist and patriotic feeling among the people and the feeling of being a proud Indian.
He said that looking at the young NCC cadets, gives him the feeling that the country is in safe hands. The Governor said that the Republic Day camp held New Delhi gives an opportunity of togetherness, knowing each other and shows what India really means. The Cadets learn to live together, help each other and demonstrates the unity of the country. Governor congratulated the NCC Officers for the tremendous effort put in by them in training the Cadets and making them participate in various events held as part of the Republic Day Camp.
The Governor presented the Best Cadet Award, launched NCC Mobile App and released the NCC Journal on the occasion. The NCC Cadets presented a Ship Model Memento to the Governor. Earlier, Air Commodore Maheshwari, Dy. Director General, NCC, presented details of Awards and Prizes won by the NCC Cadets from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, during various competitions held as part of the Republic Day Camp at New Delhi.
