Bhopal: The Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday visited the Jahaz Mahal and other monuments in ancient Mandu city. That she was on a three-day-trip to Madhya Pradesh and Hillary Clinton took about two hours to some historical places in Mandu, 35 km from the district headquarters.
A hat and sunglasses she came out of the castle Jahaz Mahal which was built during the rule of Ghiyas-uddin Khilji, She was dressed in beautiful clothes wearing casual wear. While roaming around the palace, she was completely engrossed in listening to the stories of former royal couple’s romance. She later enjoyed boating in the river Narmada and saw the world famous Maheshwar Sari, which was woven by local weeds. Maheshwar Sari was encouraged by Ahilya-bai, the Empress of Holkar royal family in the past to help her live a decent life at that time. She later returned to Maheshwar, a heritage hotel in Ahilya Fort.
