Hyderabad: The Senior Journalist and Popular Columnist Padmabhushan Shekhar Gupta called on Honourable Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday. They both discussed extensively on National Politics. Shekhar Gupta strongly supported KCRs view point of qualitative change in national politics. Chief Minister KCR briefed in detail to Shekhar Gupta the need for qualitative change, the background and context of his decision to play a key role in national politics. CM told to Shekhar Gupta that even after seven decades independence people are facing hard ships and not able to meet the minimum needs. KCR said that while many countries are marching ahead with development, it is unfortunate that India is still struggling to provide its people the basic minimum needs. He said that unless there is a change in the mind set of rulers there cannot be a real change in the situation. In India where several states form the nation the spirit of federalism is lagging and the cooperative spirit is totally not seen. In this regard Shekhar Gupta agreed with the views expressed by CM KCR. Shekhar Gupta also opined that there is a need for qualitative change in the country. Shekhar Gupta expressed the hope that KCRs efforts to be successful. Both CM KCR and Shekhar Gupta extensively discussed on several issues faced by the country, the possible solutions, the essentialities of federal system, hurdles to federal spirit in the country, hurdles to development of the country as well as to ways and means to overcome them.
