Hyderabad: A One day tour programme (Vana Sandharshan) was organized On Thursday 5th April 2018 by the Forest Department, Warangal Circle, for the Judicial Officers of various judiciary courts of the erstwhile united Warangal District. Various Activities, Schemes and other, Conservation, Protection and Developmental works taken up by the Forest Department were shown to the Judicial Officers. The following are some of the highlights of the programme.
• Protection: – The different types of forests and their extent available in four districts of Warangal Circle viz., Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Warangal Rural, Warangal Urban and Jangaon Districts. The issues regarding protection of the forests were explained and they were taken inside natural forests.
• Wildlife: – 1) The commonly available wild animals, birds, reptiles including Snakes trees (flora & fauna) available in the forests were explained by putting a display exhibition at Tadvai. 2) Snake Show: A live demonstration of different types of poisonous and nonpoisonous snakes was shown at Tadvai. 3) Visit to Eturnagaram Sanctuary: The Judiciary Officers were taken into the forests and shown the summer mitigation works (providing drinking water facility to the wild life during summer) like “Artificial Water Holes”, “Percolation Tanks / Check Dams”, “Solar Bore wells” etc.,
• Eco Tourism: During last two years many Eco Tourism activities are developed in the Warangal Forest Circle. The Judiciary Officers were explained about the various Ecotourism activities in Warangal Circle by having a photo gallery and exhibition at Tadvai. Some of the prominent among them are i) Bogatha Water Falls, ii) Tadvai Huts, iii) Rock Climbing at Pandavula Gutta, iv) Dolmans Caves, v) Black Berry Island, vi) Forest Trekking at various forests in all the (3) Districts of Jayashankar, Warangal Urban & Warangal Rural, vii) Jungle Safari, viii) Cycling at Tadvai, Laknavaram, ix) Pakhal – Nature Camps, Forest Trekking, Bird Watching, Herbal Garden, Cycling etc., at Pakhal, x) Inuparathigattu in Warangal Urban – Forest Trekking, Environmental Educational Tours for Children ix) Kakatiya Zoo Park, Warangal – Display of various animal and Educational programmes at Zoo etc.,
• Dolmans Caves at Kamaram: The Judiciary Officers were taken into the inside forests area of Kamaram near Tadvai and shown the pre-historic Dolmans Caves (Rakshasa Guhalu).
• Telanganaku Haritha Haaram (TKHH): The flagship programme of the Telangana State Government “Telanganaku Haritha Haaram (TKHH)” was explained during the one day tour programme. i) An Avenue Plantation at Gudepahad in Warangal Rural District. 2) Nursery in Warangal Urban Districts was visited by the Judiciary Officers. 3) ANR (Assisted Natural Regeneration) activities taken up inside the forests under TKHH were shown in the Jakaram Forest of the Mulugu Forest Division. Under ANR various works like Peripheral Trench, Fire lines, Staggered Trenches, clearing of unwanted growth, Coppicing and Singling activities were shown inside the forest areas.
The Judiciary Officers who were present during this Tour Programme includes, L.Thirumala Devi Hon’ble Prl. Judge Warangal, N. Jaya Raj I-Addl. District Judge Warangal and many Other Judicial Officer from various courts in Warangal, Narsampet, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, , etc.,

Ravikiran IFS District Forest Officer, Jayashankar, Arpana Syal IFS District Forests Officer Warangal Urban, K.Purushotham District Forest Officer Warangal Rural, Pradeep Kumar Setty IFS Forest Divisional Officer Eturnagaram, N.Kondal Rao Forest Divisional Officer Tadvai Division, M. Prakash Forest Divisional Officer Mulugu, N. Jogender, Md. Khader Mohiuddin, G. Saraiah and C. Vajra Reddy Forest Divisional Officers and Forest Range Officers concerned were also present.
