Hyderabad: The Sub-inspector of Police Chaitanyapuri police station G. Eroji was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday evening near Srinagar Colony in L.B. Nagar area, while he was accepted a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an advocate B Karthik.
The Sub-inspector Eroji demanded the bribe for filing a charge-sheet early in Cr. No. 75/2018, U/s 363, 354 (d) Sec. 12 of POCCSO Act. Of Chaitanyapuri police station, case related to a kidnap and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act registered at the Chaitanyapuri police station wherein the advocate was the suspect, according to a press release. The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials apprehended Sub-inspector Eroji and produced him before the special court for ACB cases.
