The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister-Revenue Mohd Mahmood Ali called for a review meeting with the key officials from Relief and Rehabilitation department, UNICEF and Metrology Department at his Chambers in Secretariat to assess the preparations for the forth coming monsoon season in the State and GHMC area in particular.
The Deputy Chief Minister instructed the officials to put every department alert. R.V.Chandravadan, Commissioner, Relief and Rehabilitation, assured that already plans have been drawn, clearing of nalas for easy flow of rain water in GHMC areas, all departments to be put on alert, all District Collector’s have been put on alert. Apart from this general public are being sent SMS alerts especially to safeguard themselves from Thunderstorms. This time every possible effort is being put in place to ensure that no/ loss of human and animal life occurs in times of any sudden natural calamity in the coming monsoon season.
