A high level delegation comprising of representatives of Bordeaux Metropole met the chief secretary Dr S K Joshi at the secretariat today. Issues relating to water, urban mobility, aeronautics, arts and wine industry were discussed during the course of the meeting. Mr. Victor Veil International Cooperation Officer and Ms Anne Raimat Deputy Director of International relations stressed the need for strong ties between Bordeaux Metropole and Government of Telangana. They recalled that a delegation from Telangana visited Bordeaux in September 2015.
They invited the Chief Secretary to visit Bordeaux. The officials discussed the frame work agreement which aims at establishing a favorable environment of cooperation between the government of Telangana and Bordeaux Metropole in the identified areas of interest increasing collaboration in the field of public transport that will contribute to the development of the regions. Several sectors of common interest and areas of cooperation have been identified. These include the Charminar Tramway project, establishment of aero school academy and cooperation in water sector projects. Bordeaux Metropole is in the heart of the French Aquitaine region. Bordeaux Metropole gathers together 28 municipalities south west of France.
