A meeting with all the District Nodal Officers, Rythu Bhima, LIC Officials and NIC officials was conducted in NIC by the Prl. Secretary A & C, Government of Telangana and Commissioner Agriculture to review the progress of the Governments Flagship Programme “Rythu Bima” on 23.10.2018 .The Parthasarathi, IAS APC and Prl. Secretary A & C , Rahul Bojja , IAS , Commissioner Agriculture , Chander , Regional Manager LIC , Suresh Kumar Technical Director , NIC , and other LIC , NIC and officers from Office of Commissioner of Agriculture attended the meeting.
The C.Parthasarathi, APC and Prl. Secretary A & C appreciated the cooperation extended by NIC in facilitating seamless flow of claims data to LIC and also the LIC officials for quick settlement of the claims and ensuring depositing of the insured amount of Rs.5.0 Lakhs into the designated nominees account. The District Nodal officers were also applauded for their role in verifying and forwarding of the claims in proper format to LIC.
The Claims which were returned by the LIC indicating certain requirements for submission were analyzed and discussed case by case by the LIC eSAT officer Rajani Ahuja with the concerned nodal officer so as to ensure that the repeat claims are submitted after correcting the errors indicated for immediate settlement. The common errors which are noticed in some of the claims submitted were explained to all the DNOs so that the same can be avoided while forwarding the claims and therefore save delay in settlement of claims.
When certain issues with respect to crediting of amount in banks like NEFT / RTGS rejections were reported by DNOs, representatives from APGVB, YES Bank, SBI were invited to educate the DNOs in precautions to be taken with respect to the bank accounts of the nominees being indicated for depositing of the insured amount of Rs.5.00 Lakhs. As on data as against 2503 deaths reported, 2369 claims are submitted to LIC. 2110 claims are settled and an amount is Rs.105.50 crores is deposited in Nominees accounts
