The Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana held a Meeting with the Representatives of Political Parties today at Secretariat

CEO informed that the Gazette notification will be issued on 12th of November 2018
The Last date for Nominations – 19th November 2018
Scrutiny of Nominations – 20th November 2018
Last Date for withdrawal – 22nd November 2018
Polling will be held – 7th December 2018
Counting will be held – 11th December 2018

Voters’ slips are printed with Photos and distributed through BLOs by 1st December
Voters’ slips are printed with the route maps to locate polling stations. Political parties appreciated this initiative taken for the first time. This will avoid bogus votes and other malpractices
Proposals submitted to ECI for 270 Auxiliary Polling Stations
3,50,592 Applications have been received during the period from October 12th to 9th November under Form 6 for enrolment
We are paying special attention to PwDs in this elections
Ramps and wheel-Chairs are being made available at the polling stations
Free transportation to and fro is facilitated for PwDs on the day of Polling
BLOs are made responsible to coordinate the above arrangements
CEO has requested all the political parties to submit the Manifestos in three sets within three days after its release as per the guidelines of ECI and they shall submit a declaration in the form of Affidavit on the Manifestos as per the Para 8 of MCC duly signed by the President or General Secretary
The Parties concerned have to submit ‘Form A & B’ with signatures in ink to all the Returning officers in respect of constituencies where their candidates are contesting and Form A to the CEO in ink signed.
Nominations are accepted on all working days
The candidates shall submit Affidavit in Form 26 along with nomination
Candidates should fill Format C1 published in three widely circulated news papers and TV channels on three different dates and Political Parties in Format C2 published in three widely circulated news papers and TV channels on three different dates
Political Parties have brought to the notice of CEO that in urban areas, BLOs are not distributing Voters’ slips properly and the voters are facing lot of problems in identifying their Polling stations and their locations and requested to ensure proper distribution
CEO requested to furnish the list of the star-campaigners within seven days from the date of notification

Political parties requested for installation of CCTVs for surveillance in and outside of the sensitive Polling stations
Disclosure of the liabilities towards financial institutions by candidates.
Lastly CEO requested all the representatives of Political parties to cooperate in conducting elections in free, fair and peaceful manner.
