The B P Acharya, IAS, Spl. Chief Secretary to Government & DG, Dr MCR HRD Institute and Prashant J Patil, IAS, District Collector, Warangal (Urban) inaugurated Prof K Jayashankar Computer Lab at Regional Training Centre of Dr MCR HRD Institute at Warangal on November 24th, 2018. While Sri Prashant J Patil was physically present at the venue, B P Acharya virtually participated in the function through video conferencing. All the functionaries of the Regional Training Centres of Dr MCR HRD Institute from the nine erstwhile districts of Telangana too participated in the function virtually.
The B P Acharya said that the establishment of Prof K Jayashankar Computer Lab will be a step in the direction of addressing a felt need of employees from Warangal. Continuing his address, he said that, in the past, the employees from Warangal used to visit Hyderabad in order to attend computer-related training programs. “However, now they will have the benefit of attending these programs in Warangal itself, thereby reducing the cost of training and saving their time too”, he added.
The B P Acharya interacted with the Managers of all the nine Regional Training Centres across the State and reviewed the implementation of e-Learning program designed by DoPT, Govt. of India and Dr MCR HRD Institute and expressed hope that the Prof K Jayashankar Computer Lab will be greatly instrumental in enabling the employees from Warangal in completing the e-Learning Modules.
The Prashant J Patil thanked B P Acharya for creating Prof K Jayashankar Computer Lab at the Regional Training Centre, Warangal. He said that the Centre would conduct training programs on Information and Communication Technology for officers and Ministerial Staff at field level employees and a beginning will be made by offering a program for the employees of Revenue Department
The Prof K Jayashankar Computer Lab consists of 25 state-of-the-art systems, which is equipped with leased-line internet, video conferencing facilities, projectors system, UPS, screens, biometric attendance management system, etc. Similar facilities have been created at all the remaining Regional Training Centres across the State. The inauguration of the Computer Lab at the RegionRegional Training Centre at Nizamabad is scheduled in the first week of December, 2018.
