The State Bank of India (SBI) had extended the facility to deposit the required amount of the Haj Expenses in the Haj Committee of India’s account through cheque in favour of ‘yourself’ along with the Bank challan form. Mr. Mohammed Masiullah Khan Chairman and Prof. S. A. Shukoor Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee said in a media release here today that those pilgrims who have their account in the SBI need not draw the amount from their account and then remit the same in the bank, instead they can fill up the Bank Challan Form and issue a Cheque in favour or ‘Yourself’ by entering the amount payable. They said that this facility can be avail of in any branch of the SBI. They requested the pilgrims to make use of this facility.
The Selection of the KhadimulHujjaj (Haj Officers) would be made on the basis of an Interview and draw of lots. Mr. Mohammed Masiullah Khan Chairman and Prof. S. A. Shukoor Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee said in a media release here today that interview of the candidates would be conducted on Saturday 19th January from 10:00 AM onwards to assess their physical and mental fitness. Draw of lots to select the Khadim-ul-Hujjaj would be conducted from among the candidates declared eligible in the interview, on Monday 21st January. The candidates have been directed to bring their original Passport along with the copy of the documents submitted earlier. It may be mentioned here that KhadimulHujjaj are selected in the ratio of 200:1 to guide and help the Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia as and when required.
