The Prashanth Kumar Jha, I.F.S., Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF) & Wildlife Warden, T.S., laid the foundation stone for the construction of New Aviary at the Parrot world area at Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad. As per the approved master plan of the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, the New Aviary is being erected with large enclosures at the Parrot world for the display of various types of Macaws, Parrots, Parakeets, Budgerigar, Love birds, Cockatoos etc., as the existing aviary has become quite old. The PCCF (HoFF) & Wildlife Warden, T.S., also released a pair of Giraffe’s into the enclosure for the public display. These Giraffe’s were brought from Kolkatta Zoo on animal exchange programme, last month and were kept in quarantine. The Giraffe’s Sunny and Bubbly are of aged about 4 years and 2 years are in good health and have acclimatized to Hyderabad zoo. The presence of 3 Giraffe’s in the zoo is a feast to the eyes of the visitors. Later, The PCCF (HoFF) & Wildlife Warden, T.S., along with the Forest higher officials and zoo officials took round of the zoo and expressed satisfaction in the maintenance of such a large zoo. He congratulated to all the officers and staff of the zoo for putting their efforts in development of zoo in all the aspects. He appreciated the efforts taken by all the officers and staff of Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, for taking good care of the wild animals and bringing zoo in good condition.
