Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident army personal allegedly forced Muslim Women to remove her veil, abused her and assaulted her brother. Muslim women were going through the Military-area of Mehdipatnam along with her brother, Abdul Nabi and other relatives after consulting with the doctor in the hospital. The women was stopped by the army personal and asked to produce gate-pass, which she did not have, on that the Muslim Women was forced to remove her veil. When her relatives interrupt and request the army personal to act suitably, they become adamant and assaulted Abdul Nabi.
That many people gather in front of Mehdipatnam garrison and protested and demanded stern action against the army personal. The people claimed that such incidents have become common. Earlier, a minor boy Mustafa had died in a suspicious circumstance in the said military area.
The Dy, Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Mr. Venkateshwar Rao and Asst Commissioner Police, Asif Nagar, Mohammed Ghouse Mohiuddin reached the spot and assured the protesters that action would be taken against the accused persons.
That, Abdul Nabi filed a complaint with Humayun Nagar Police against the army personal, Krishna Dagar and others and a case was registered under section 341 and 323 of IPC.
The Army Officer of Garrison, Mr. Anokha, assured the police that inquiry will be completed within two days. The recordings of CCTV Cameras are being scrutinized.
